How Annamalai call me to do this Dvadashi Annadanam ?
MysticSelvam Ayya , one of his book he told this information , after that I saw same information in www.aanmigakkadal.com site also.
Three month before one of my blog follower asked me about this , on Aug 7 2012 new comer came to my house ( My daughter Srividya ) at that time www.aanmigakkadal.com editor wish my daughter and asked me to do “ Dvadashi Tithi Annadanam”in Thiruvannamalai .
First week of September my friend call me said ‘ I got information about “ Dvadashi Tithi Annadanam” ‘ , I also explain about this to him. After that we decided to start this event monthly in ‘Valarpirai Dwadashi Tithi’.
With in 25 day's we stated first Dvadashi Tithi Annadanam On 26/09/2012 with my Guru Wish “ Srimat Sadhananda Swamigal “ and Mystic Selvam Ayya , our Group stated first Dvadashi Tithi Annadanam to Sadhus who living in girivalam way at Thiruvannamalai .
Why we want to do “Dvadashi Tithi Annadanam” ?
1. MysticSelvam Ayya - ‘SivaMahapuranam‘
One of my Guru MysticSelvam Ayya written in his Book “ When we give feast for 1,00,000 people, it is equal to do one Sadhu in Kasi, but same time when we give 1,00,000 Sadhu in Kasi , it is equal to do one Sadhu in Thiruvannamalai for 3 times in a day [ ie Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner ] on Dvadashi Tithi . it will clearing our forefather & our karma in this life time itself , This information in‘SivaMahapuranam‘ old book ”.
2. AdiSankara - 'Kanakadhara Stotram'
As pr the practice the brahmachari has to go from house to house and take alms and submit this to his guru. On a Dwadasi day AdiSankara happened to go to the house of a very poor lady jand asked for the alms. The lady did not have a single grain of rice in her house to give. However she had kept a single Amla fruit for herself as it was a Dwadasi day. She unhesitatingly gave this Amla fruit to Sankara as she could not send a Brahmachari empty handed. Sankara was moved by her selflessness and the poverty of the lady and prayed to Goddess Lakshmi in a beautiful sloka which is called'Kanakadara Stotram'. On completion of this stotram, Goddess Lakshmi appeared in person and showered a rain of golden coins on the poor lady's house.start with Mahadeva pooja [ All Sadhus are see like GOD ,We Decorated with flowers on their head and offer food with kanikkai [ money ] and do puja to all Sadhu and we asked them to take food... ]
